The Shell & Pearl
In this collection I take my inspiration from the classics that never go out of style. The novel twist in this series is the found by removing the pearl from its usual stranded presentation and returning it to its shell. These sterling silver shells are formed by a technique called water casting. Shop Now to see the limited edition castings available.
The most feminine of all gemstones, pearls are the only gemstone created by a living creature.
They require no cutting or polishing. They are the official June birthstone and the gemstone of choice for brides and their bridesmaids.
Water Casting Shells
The unique shells used in this collection are created with a technique called water casting. When molten silver is released into a vessel of water, all types of formations result. But when done just right, these beautiful shells form.
A limited edition set of The Shell & Pearl necklaces are available in the on-line store. The shells in these pendants have been reproduced from an original water casting shell with a process called lost wax casting.
The Details Matter
All necklaces are finished with an unseamed snake chain with hand-made clasp and an extension chain so that the piece can be adjusted to fit different necklines.
Custom one-of-a-kind, original water-cast shells can be ordered at a premium price. These unique shells are worth of the highest quality pearls, such as this custom Shell & Pearl necklace with 8.5 mm AAA Tahitian Peacock Black Pearl.
